Our mission is to help as many people as possible experience good, comfortable vision — and to help prevent preventable blindness. We do our absolute best to ensure every client receives the finest eye-care and can see comfortably, look great and feel confident with solutions tailored to their needs.

Like the Japanese Shokunin spirit, we take pride in what we do. We do it carefully, beautifully, and to the very best of our abilities. Because this is our craft.

Our Story

Where "vision" meets "craft"

The name Visiokraft came from the words "vision" and "craft." As optometrists, providing good vision care is the core of our job — so you could say vision is our craft.

As glasses wearers ourselves, we understand the pain of a poorly fitted, uncomfortable pair. That's why we vet every product to ensure it is good quality and comfortable to wear. We see glasses not just as a tool to see better, but as an accessory that brings out the inner personality of the wearer and helps them feel more confident.

We really enjoy helping people see better — but the greatest joy comes from helping them look and feel more confident about themselves. This is what drives us.

Ben

Founder & Resident Optometrist

Ben is the founder and resident optometrist at Visiokraft Optometrist. He graduated from the National Institute of Ophthalmic Sciences (Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani, India) and has been in the optometry and optical industry since 2011, working part-time while studying.

In 2015 he started his first practice, EyeSense Optometry in Farlim, before rebranding and relocating to Visiokraft Optometrist, Bayan Lepas in 2018. Besides his passion for eye-care, Ben has a strong interest in eyewear styling. He is a lifetime member of the Association of Malaysian Optometrist (AMO).

Kathryn

Optometrist

Kathryn obtained her Bachelor of Science in Optometry in 2012 from the National Institute of Ophthalmic Sciences (Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani, India). She has experience in both clinical and retail optometry.

With a kind, cheerful and caring personality, Kathryn has helped many patients not only see better but achieve a better quality of life. She has a strong interest in geriatric optometry, hoping to help the ageing population see well in their golden years. She is a lifetime member of the AMO.

Jin

Optometrist · Specialty Lenses

Jin graduated from the National Institute of Ophthalmic Sciences (Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani, India) in 2016 and began working alongside Ben at EyeSense Optometry. He later joined Japanese optical company Paris Miki, where he learned the craft of adjusting unique frames and identifying quality by touch.

He specializes in fitting specialty contact lenses for irregular cornea and keratoconus using various Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) lenses. Jin leads the Myopia Management Project with Haag-Streit and Hoya, and a Dry Eye Management Program with ophthalmologists and optometrists.
